Important Announcement (Sep 2011) - Evaluation Skate
The Interlake Ringette Association (IRA) is once again hosting an Evaluation Skate for ALL Petite (U12), Tween (U14) Junior (U16) and Belle (U19) players. The purpose of the evaluation skate is to provide all players in the Interlake the opportunity to play at the level that they choose to play at, whether that be A, B or C. It also allows our Interlake Winnipeg Ringette League (WRL) Representative the ability to request the seeding of the teams in the appropriate levels at the start of the WRL season in October. Achieving this will make it more enjoyable for all the players and coaches right from the start of the first half and hopefully the entire season.
In order for us to properly gauge which loop our teams should be seeded in it is very important for all of our players to attend this skate. This one hour will make a big difference for the start of the year Attendance not only effects the players, but it also effects your home teams as well.
Saturday, September 10, 2011 (Selkirk Rec Complex)
The Evaluation Skate will be held at the Selkirk Rec Complex on Saturday September 10, 2011:
- 8:30a-9:30a for Petites (U12)
- 9:45a-10:45a for Tween (U14)
- 11:00a-12:00p for Juniors (U16)
- 12:00p-1:00p for Belles (U19)
For players interested in playing at the A level....in order for a decision to be made about the ability of the Interlake to host any "A" teams, we definitely need all players wishing to play at the A level to attend this skate. The assessment will be made the day of the Evaluation Skate and everyone will be told whether or not we will host an A team, and at what level.
For any age group that the evaluation deems we can host an A Try-out, 3 session try-outs will follow starting Saturday, September 17, 2011 and ending Saturday, September 24, 2011.
More information about try-outs will be distributed to those interested after the Evaluation Skate. For players choosing to try-out for an A team in which we are NOT hosting. You must submit your name and contact info to Michelle Vernaus (President Interlake Ringette Association) before Sunday, September 11, 2011. If you do not Michelle know before the 11th, you cannot be considered to be sent anywhere outside the Interlake for try-outs.
